According to the data, in 2023, airports in Poland handled 52.2 million passengers, which is a 6.5 percent increase compared to the pre-pandemic year of 2019.

The most frequented airports were Warsaw’s Chopin Airport, Kraków John Paul II International Airport, and Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport.

The airlines that carried the most international passengers were Ryanair, Wizz Air, and LOT Polish Airlines.

The most attractive destination to and from Poland in 2023 was the United Kingdom, followed by Italy and Germany.

The ULC also reported that in 2023, Polish airports handled over 197,600 tonnes of cargo, marking an increase of 60.1 percent compared to 2019.
