According to regional officials, six people were wounded in an overnight drone assault on the Osnovyanskyi district of Kharkiv, the country’s second-largest city. Later in the day, a separate attack using aerial bombs in the city center injured ten more individuals.
The attack shattered balconies and blew out windows, leaving residents in disbelief, and questioning why such violence occurred on a holy day.
Kharkiv, having endured a prolonged Russian assault in the early stages of the 2022 invasion,
has remained a frequent target in recent weeks.
Despite Russia’s claims of avoiding civilian targets, attacks have repeatedly struck residential buildings, schools, and medical facilities.

In the village of Monachynivka, east of Kharkiv, an 88-year-old woman lost her life in the shelling, with her body recovered from the debris of a collapsed house.
The incident also left a man injured, highlighting the devastating toll of the ongoing conflict on innocent civilians.
