Consequently, Poles are assured a place in Paris this summer in the 4x400m mixed relay and the 4x100m and 4x400m women's relay.

The World Relay Championships are being hosted this year in Nassau, Bahamas. On the first day of competition, there were five competitions.

The battle for a place on the plane to Paris began with the mixed relay competition. The Polish 4x400m team included Maksymilian Szwed, Iga Baumgart-Witan, Kajetan Duszyński and Natalia Kaczmarek. And they performed their task in great style.

Following impressive performances by her other three teammates, Kaczmarek’s decisive 400 meters was a formality. The Pole ran to the finish line with a big lead, ensuring the team’s qualification for the Olympic Games in Paris.

In the women's 4x100-meters run, the Poles once again crossed the finishing line first. Ewa Swoboda, Kryscina Cimanouska, Monika Romaszko and Magdalena Stefanowicz advanced to the final with a time of 42.81 seconds, simultaneously securing Olympic qualification. In the women’s 4x400m relay, Marika Popowicz-Drapała started well, and the Polish women took the lead on the second change after Kinga Gacki's run. Later, Alicja Wrona-Kutrzepa ran her distance wisely, and in the end, Natalia Kaczmarek sprinted home to victory. They won their run with a time of 3:27.11 seconds and also secured their place in Paris.

The last Polish competitors of the first day were in the men's 4x400m relay. The white and red team, represented by Igor Bogaczynski, Patryk Grzegorzewicz, Mateusz Rzezniczak and Kajetan Duszynski, took seventh place in their run. On Monday, they will have a second chance to secure Olympic qualification.
